La Boutique de Bacchus on Bergman's Bourgogne

All coasters, bottle coasters and trivets are fabricated using the famous "Rose de Bourgogne" marble. Each one is made by hand in the little shop in Nantoux in the heart of Burgundy, just eight kilometres from Beaune. Come on in, look around, and find some treasures! These natural stones come from the caves of Nuits St. Georges, the A.O.C. "Rose de Bourgogne" is the highest quality available in Burgundy.

Notable monuments around the world are produced from this beautiful marble, such as the Louvre in Paris, the Dallas Opera, and, we hear, the kitchen of actor Tom Hanks! The cave was once owned by the monks of Citeaux, proprietors of renowned Burgundy landmarks such as Chateau du Clos Vougeot and the Cistercian Abbey de Citeaux which is home of the famous Citeaux cheeses. Prehistoric fossils and thousand-year-old shells are often visible. In time and with proper care, your stone will develop a beautiful patina, adding to its natural elegance.
